Ayer nos llegaba un mail con una interesante actividad en Alicante.
Miguel López es un fisioterapeuta que lleva 5 años trabajando y compartiendo momentos con gente discapacitada. Él está en la asociación ADACEA (Asociación Daño Cerebral Adquirido Alicante) y este fin de semana organiza las Primeras Jornadas para discapacitados de Ultimate Frisbee.
¿Qué es el Ultimate Frisbee? Es un deporte competitivo sin contacto entre jugadores que es jugado en equipos con un disco volador de 175 gramos. El objetivo de este juego es anotar puntos haciendo pases con el disco entre los jugadores hasta llegar a la zona de anotación del otro equipo, similar a como lo hacen en la zona de anotación en Fútbol Americano o en el Rugby. Los jugadores no pueden moverse mientras tengan el disco en las manos. El Ultimate es distinguido por su principio del "Espíritu de Juego" o Principio del juego justo, su alto rendimiento, y la alegría del juego.
El objetivo de Miguel es dar a conocer este deporte que en España hace unos 15 años que se practica pero nunca antes se había hecho con discapacitados y quisiera llegar a hacer torneos.

Miguel Lopez is a physiotherapist who has 5 years working and sharing moments with people with disabilities. He is in the association ADACEA (Acquired Brain Injury Association Alicante) and this weekend organized the First Conference of Ultimate Frisbee.
What is Ultimate Frisbee? Is a competitive sport without contact between players that is played in teams with a 175 gram flying disc. The aim of this game is to score points by passing the disc between players to reach the end zone from the other team, much as they do in the end zone in American football or Rugby. Players can not move while having the disc in your hands. The Ultimate is distinguished by its principle of "Spirit of the Game" or the principle of fair play, high yield, and the joy of the game.
The goal of Michael is promoting this sport in Spain 15 years ago but never practiced before been done with the disabled and would like to do tournaments
